Hi, there cyber people!
I'm Midnight Rose. Welcome to my blog: COW (Club: Otaku World). No, it's no joke. Don't laugh. Yeah, maybe I could've thought of a better name, but hell, who cares really.
Ok, so... what is this blog about? Reviews. Which reviews? Mangas & animes, duh, guess it's obvious by the word Otaku. From now on, each week, I'll be reviewing a manga or an anime, short or long, popular or not so popular, classic or new, so that you, fans of this world, may decide whether you want to check it out or not.
I guess you can't really trust my judgement since I'm not famous in the web, but I've been in this world for 8 years, so I have some experience and good taste (hem, or so I've been told).
So, before I start with my reviews, I'll explain how I decide how good a manga or anime is. Basically I check five main important points:
1)Art (for mangas) & Quality (for animes)
2)Plot/Story
3)Characters
4)Violence
5)Sexual content
Through these five, I make my decision. In each of my reviews, I'll tell you the points I give each category, together with other extra details (genres, author, and so on) and of course a summary and my opinions. If the manga I review already has an anime and viceversa, I will review them both at the same time. I must add three more things, so that you can hate me now, and not later.
1) These genres I'll never, EVER, review, so don't expect them with me: shoujo, shounen Ai (Yaoi), shoujo Ai (Yuri), Sports, Hentai(Smut) and Mature (Adult); it's not that I hate them, but they are simply not my style. These I'll seldomly review: Historical, Meccha, Horror, Tragedy, Slice of Life, Pschycological, Martial Arts and Gender Bender. The rest, we'll see them often.
2) I'll only review mangas & animes I've already completed since I don't like to give incomplete judgements, so if you want me to review the 'hot' ones, well, we'll have to wait until they are finished.
3) I won't review the Big Three: One Piece, Naruto & Bleach and I have two reasons: one, they are too popular, so there's really no point in reviewing them; two, I haven't watched/read them. Yep, you read that right. I've been told many times what a crime that is, but I've always liked to read/watch shorter, not so popular ones; maybe someday I will check them out, but not now.
So people, this is all for today. Hope you will like my reviews. Soon, we will get our first one.
Oyasami, mina!
(Translation for newbies: Good night everyone!)
M. Rose
